ABSTRACT

This paper presents the results of a practical technique to determine preferential flow trends in a reservoir. The technique is a combination of reservoir geology, tracer data, and Spearman rank correlation coefficient analysis of injection/production rate data. The Spearman analysis, in particular, will prove to be important because it appears to be insightful and uses data that are prevalent when other data are nonexistent. The technique is applied to the North Buck Draw field, Campbell County, Wyoming.
