Abstract:

The Coffeyville oil field is located in the southeast corner of Montgomery County, Kansas, on the Oklahoma state line. It was the first of the so-called "deep fields" in that locality. The field has produced approximately 265,000 barrels of 24° Be. gravity oil from the top of the "Siliceous lime." The oil occurs in a well-defined dome. The field has not been as profitable as it should have been on account of too close spacing of wells.
